Kevin De Bruyne is reportedly winning his battle to be fit for Manchester City's next Premier League match against Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.
The Belgium international has been struggling with an ankle problem in the early stages of the 2021-22 campaign, playing just 11 minutes of Premier League football thus far.
However, according to the Daily Mail, De Bruyne has been taking part in full training sessions with the Citizens this week and is therefore in line to make his return against Leicester at the King Power Stadium.
The report claims that head coach Pep Guardiola will make a late decision on the 30-year-old's involvement, with the Spaniard not prepared to take any risks when it comes to the attacker.
De Bruyne, who picked up the ankle issue while representing Belgium at Euro 2020, has missed the recent victories over Norwich City and Arsenal in the Premier League.
The attacker was in excellent form for the English champions last term, scoring 10 times and representing 18 assists in 40 appearances in all competitions. body check tags ::
