Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany was absent from training this morning ahead of Wednesday evening's Champions League trip to Borussia Monchengladbach.
The Belgium international was once again substituted during the opening 45 minutes of Saturday's 2-1 win over Crystal Palace, this time because of a blow to the head.
It is unknown whether the 30-year-old will travel with the rest of the squad to Germany later today, but he missed out on the Citizens' final training session prior to the Group C clash, with Pep Guardiola's men requiring a point to progress through.
Kompany, who tried in vain to resume after being knocked to the floor by keeper Claudio Bravo at Selhurst Park, has featured for a combined 116 minutes in the Premier League this season.
Midfielder Yaya Toure, the star man in South London three days ago, was present in training this morning but will play no part against Gladbach after being omitted from City's European squad for the group stage.
