Goals from Wilfried Bony and Kevin De Bruyne have given Manchester City a 2-0 lead at half time against Crystal Palace this evening.
Both sides made a bright start to the game, as City winger De Bruyne dragged an early effort wide, before Yannick Bolasie volleyed off target after a Jordan Mutch free kick had been cleared.
Bolasie twice came close to finding the opener for the Eagles, as the winger headed over the bar from a Wilfried Zaha cross before the 26-year-old was denied by City keeper Willy Caballero from close range.
The hosts took the lead on 22 minutes, as Bony rose highest at an Alexander Kolarov corner to head past Wayne Hennessey in the Palace goal.
Crystal Palace responded well to going behind, as former Manchester United man Zaha beat a couple of City defenders before seeing an effort deflect behind for a corner.
Wilfried Bony twice missed chances to double the Citizens' lead before the break, as the Ivorian blazed an effort over the bar, before the former Swansea City man struck an effort straight at Hennessey.
City doubled their lead on 44 minutes, as Kelechi Iheanacho found De Bruyne at the far post, before the Belgian produced a composed finish into the bottom corner of the net.
The visitors almost found a response before half time, as Caballero spilled a cross into the path of Joe Ledley, but the Welshman blazed an effort over the bar.
