Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus has described Sergio Aguero as "a fantastic person" and hopes that the Argentine can soon become the club's all-time top goalscorer.
Since his arrival in January, the inclusion of Jesus has sometimes led to Aguero being kept on the substitutes' bench.
However, the Brazilian - who has netted 15 goals in 23 appearances for City - is full of praise for his strike partner, who can move to the top of the all-time scoring list at City with a goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday night.
The 20-year-old is quoted by Manchester Evening News as saying: "I get on with Sergio very well, he's an amazing guy. All of us know what type of player he is, but he's a fantastic person and I'm a fan of his.
"It's very good to play with him. When you have a good relationship off the pitch, it's easier to bring it on to the pitch. That's what we have. We help each other and that helps Manchester City. We both defend the shirt of this club, so we pull together on the pitch, the same way we get along off the pitch.
"It's a very important in a player's career, especially for a striker, to score a lot of goals. I support him and I hope he can beat the record as soon as possible. He deserves to become the top scorer of this club."
Despite their relationship off the pitch, the pair have not started in the same match for over a month.
