Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague believes that Diego Simeone will not swap Atletico Madrid for Manchester City this summer.
Reports have suggested that the Argentine coach will be targeted by the Premier League club if they decide to dismiss Manuel Pellegrini at the end of this season.
Simeone's stock has risen since he took charge of Atletico in 2011. The Argentine coach led them to their first La Liga title since 1996 last season and the Champions League final, where they lost to city rivals Real Madrid.
However, Balague does not believe that the 44-year-old would leave the La Liga outfit, with Chinese billionaire Wang Jianlin set to invest in the club after he purchased a 20% stake.
When asked who would be on Atletico's list to replace Simeone, he told Sky Sports News: "None. Because he's staying. 100% he's staying.
"He's staying partly because he sees the club developing so there's a lot of money coming in from China as we know. And partly because he got Fernando Torres and he's told Torres he will stay one more year."
Simeone has also won the Europa League and the Copa del Rey during his time with Atletico.
