Hull City winger George Boyd has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association for 'spitting' at Manchester City and England goalkeeper Joe Hart.
The incident occurred during a Premier League game on Saturday when the duo squared up on the pitch after Hart got angry with Boyd appearing to dive under his challenge.
Hart wasn't punished for his aggressive nature but Boyd has been reprimanded.
The charge comes under an alleged breach of FA Rule E1 [a] and is part of a new pilot scheme this year that allows English football's governing body to retrospectively discipline players if the referee fails to spot an incident during a match.
Boyd has until 6pm tomorrow to respond to the charge.
