Manchester City midfielder Javi Garcia has admitted that he found it hard going in his early days at the club as he struggled to communicate with his teammates.
The 26-year-old joined Roberto Mancini's side on transfer deadline day last summer from Benfica for a fee in the region of £16m.
Garcia told the Daily Star: "The first few months were very difficult for me and maybe that was to do with the language.
"Sometimes I went to the dressing room and I couldn't speak with my teammates.I still need to improve my English but now in training I can at least speak to my teammates."
Garcia has made 27 appearances for City in all competitions this season.
