Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis has said that Manchester City's superior financial power proved to be the difference between the two teams at the Etihad Stadium this afternoon.
The Eagles boss believes that his team were worthy of a point against Manuel Pellegrini's side, as Edin Dzeko's 66th-minute winner saw the Citizens retain their 100% home record in the Premier League.
"We are really disappointed not to have taken anything from the game," the 55-year-old told reporters. "The difference between the teams is spending about £350m.
"The weekly wages of one of their players would probably cover half my team and, if I was their manager, I would be sat on the sidelines with a cigar in my mouth."
Palace stay out of the relegation zone on goal difference despite the defeat.
