Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp has hinted that it may be difficult to keep Luka Modric at White Hart Lane this summer.
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini is an open admirer of the Croatian, who has also been linked with moves to Manchester United and Chelsea.
Redknapp believes that if one of those clubs were to fully commit to attempting to sign the 26-year-old, then he might struggle to keep the player at Spurs.
He told The Mirror: "I would think if someone is going to offer him £200,000 a week it could probably turn his head a little bit.
"Only Luka knows what he wants to do. We want to keep him here, we need to."
Spurs chiefs have offered Modric a new contract, although he is reportedly unwilling to commit his future to the club until he knows who will be the manager next season.
