Trevor Sinclair has claimed that former club Manchester City should sell Yaya Toure and bring in some "fresh blood" at the end of the season.
The Ivory Coast international has experienced an indifferent campaign for the Blues, who lost further ground in the Premier League title race on Monday with a 2-1 defeat at Crystal Palace.
Toure's future at the Etihad Stadium was thrown into doubt last year when his agent criticised the club for not celebrating his birthday.
Sinclair believes that the 31-year-old's commitment to City has faded since then and that he should be moved on in the summer.
"Just from last year, after his birthday, his agent and came out and said he was disappointed. I don't think he's committed to the club anymore," he told Sky Sports News. "He's a massive fan favourite and has been a fantastic servant but I think now is the time to let him go and experience some other football and bring in some fresh blood."
Toure has recently been linked with a move to Inter Milan.
