Manchester City football development executive Patrick Vieira has urged the team to start an era of dominating English football.
The Frenchman watched on as Sergio Aguero's last-gasp goal won City their first top tier title in 44 years at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. The former Arsenal and City player has told the club to prove that they are the best by winning back-to-back titles.
"Football is a cycle, every five or six years, and I hope this club will have the stability that you need to be successful. We know success comes with stability," said Vieira.
"We have a young team, really talented, with the determination to do well.
"Hopefully this team, for the next four or five years, will dominate the English game."
Vieira, an Arsenal legend, won Premier League titles in 1998, 2002 and 2004 while playing in North London.
