Pablo Zabaleta believes that Manchester City are capable of taking maximum points from next Monday's derby encounter against Manchester United.

Victory for City will see them leapfrog United at the top of the Premier League table.

Despite the enormity of the match, Argentine defender Zabaleta has insisted that his side will not treat the fixture any differently to other encounters.

"We have to play the same as we play every game," he told the club's official website. "We need to be strong mentally, focus on what we have to do and give it our all.

"We've got the talent and we've got quality - we've got everything. But behind this the mentality and the attitude for that game has to be more than 100%.

"I'm sure if we put everything into this game, with the quality we've got it can make the difference."

Should Zabaleta be selected at the Etihad Stadium, it will be his 150th appearance for the club.
