Aston Villa are reportedly prepared to accept Manchester City's £100m bid for Jack Grealish.
The Premier League champions are believed to have launched the big-money offer on Friday, with the club entering into direct transfer talks with Villa over the England international.
According to Sky Sports News, Dean Smith's side are still keen to keep hold of the playmaker and have placed a new and improved contract on the table in the hope that he commits his future to the club.
However, the report claims that Villa are prepared to accept Man City's £100m offer, meaning that it will be up to Grealish to decide whether he wants to make the move to Manchester.
The 25-year-old scored seven goals and contributed 12 assists in 27 appearances at club level during the 2020-21 campaign, while he featured five times for England at Euro 2020.
Citizens boss Pep Guardiola is allegedly keen for Grealish's signature to be secured before his side take to the field for the Community Shield against Leicester City on August 7.
A £100m move to the Etihad Stadium would represent the biggest transfer in English football history. body check tags ::
