Bayern Munich are reportedly preparing a £70m bid for Manchester City winger Leroy Sane, who is their number one summer transfer target.
The German champions' president Uli Hoeness has confirmed that there is a solid interest in the 23-year-old, who had to play second fiddle to Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva in the closing weeks of the season.
According to The Guardian, Bayern will prioritise signing the Germany international as they are in need of a replacement for departing wingers Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.
Sane, who started just three of City's last 12 matches of the 2018-19 campaign, is said to be keen on a return to his homeland, three years after joining City from Schalke 04.
Bayern have already splashed out £100m on French defenders Lucas Hernandez and Benjamin Pavard on the back of a mixed first season under Niko Kovac.
