Besiktas will reportedly launch a fresh attempt to complete the transfer of Eliaquim Mangala from Manchester City this summer.
Mangala joined City for £42m back in 2014 - a world-record sum for a defender at the time - but the Frenchman has failed to make an impact at the Etihad.
The 28-year-old has been pushed to the sidelines under Pep Guardiola, making just 15 appearances under the Catalan, and spent unsuccessful loan spells at Valencia and then Everton between 2016 and 2018.
According to Turkish newspaper Star, Besiktas plan to make another bid to sign Mangala, who only has one year left on his current deal at City.
Manager Abdullah Avci is targeting a left-footed defender to replace Nicolas Isimat Mirin, with the latter attracting heavy attention from French club Amiens.
Mangala was not included in City's pre-season tour of Asia and has reportedly been told that he can leave the club for free in this window.
