Manchester City are reportedly prepared to activate the £67m release clause of Real Sociedad attacker Mikel Oyarzabal before this summer's transfer window slams shut.
Oyarzabal scored 14 times in 41 appearances for Sociedad during the 2018-19 campaign, while he also found the back of the net on his competitive debut for Spain in their 3-0 win over Sweden last month.
According to AS, City have told Sociedad that they will pay the 22-year-old's full buy-out figure in order to bring him to the Etihad Stadium as a replacement for Leroy Sane.
Sane has been strongly linked with a move to Bayern Munich ahead of the 2019-20 campaign, with the German club's head coach Niko Kovac recently claiming that the two clubs were in talks over a potential deal.
City boss Pep Guardiola has revealed that there is a contract offer on the table for Sane, who will see his current deal at the Etihad Stadium expire in little over two years.
