Manchester City have reportedly agreed a £24m fee with Benfica for the transfer of defensive midfielder Javi Garcia.
Benfica president Pinto da Costa said on Tuesday that the 25-year-old would only leave for £24m, which is believed to be his buy-out fee.
Garcia would fill the void left by Nigel de Jong, who joined Serie A outfit AC Milan earlier today.
The Premier League champions have already snapped up Scott Sinclair, Maicon and Richard Wright today.
The transfer window shuts at 11pm this evening.
