Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne will reportedly become the club's highest-paid player ever when putting pen to paper on a new contract.
The 26-year-old, recently linked with Barcelona following a string of standout displays, is understood to be in advanced talks with the Citizens over a long-term contract.
De Bruyne currently earns £140,000 a week but, according to the Daily Star, his updated salary will see him rake in more than £200,000 a week - surpassing both Sergio Aguero and David Silva.
Despite still having three years left to run on his current terms, City chiefs are said to be keen to keep the Belgium international happy in an attempt to fend off any interest from Barcelona.
Agent Patrick De Koster recently hinted that De Bruyne will hold out for a weekly salary closer to the £500,000 mark, bringing him in line with the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar at Paris Saint-Germain.
