Eliaquim Mangala will reportedly complete a second loan move to Valencia this month after failing to land a place in the Manchester City squad over the summer.
The Frenchman moved to the Etihad in 2014 for a total of £42m - a record amount for a defender at the time - but has failed to make an impact under Pep Guardiola.
Since 2017, Mangala has only played nine times for the Premier League champions, with his last appearance dating all the way back to February 2018.
According to Goal.com, Mangala has the approval of Valencia technical director Pablo Longoria to become the club's fourth-choice central defender for the 2019-20 season.
The 28-year-old, who began his career at Porto, enjoyed a positive first loan spell at the Mestalla during the 2016-17 campaign, making 30 appearances in total.
Turkish side Besiktas were another club credited with an interest in signing the unwanted defender this summer.
