Jack Grealish will reportedly undergo a medical with Manchester City on Thursday morning ahead of joining the Premier League champions in a £100m deal.
The 25-year-old is believed to have been in Manchester on Wednesday putting the final touches on a record-breaking move to the Etihad Stadium.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the paperwork has now been signed between Aston Villa and Man City, with the attacker heading to the Citizens.
Romano claims that Grealish has penned a five-year contract with Pep Guardiola's side, and he will undergo his medical on Thursday morning before an official announcement is made.
Villa had offered their captain the opportunity to sign a new and improved deal at Villa Park, but Dean Smith's side also accepted Man City's £100m offer, leaving the final decision to the England international.
Grealish could potentially be involved in Man City's Community Shield clash against Leicester City on Saturday, but it seems more likely that his debut will arrive against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League a week later.
The playmaker has scored 32 goals and registered 43 assists in 213 appearances for Villa, including seven goals and 12 assists in 27 outings in all competitions during the 2020-21 campaign. body check tags ::
