Jude Bellingham reportedly rejected a £13m-a-year contract from Premier League side Manchester City in favour of a move to Champions League holders Real Madrid.
The 19-year-old is one of the hottest properties in world football and has attracted interest from the majority of elite clubs since making the switch from Birmingham City to Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2020.
Having turned out 130 times for the Bundesliga giants, it appears the midfielder could be departing for Spain, although that is not without a major English outfit attempting to lure him to the Premier League.
According to Marca, Bellingham rejected a £13m-a-year contract from Manchester City in order to accept the proposal offered to him by Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid.
The report adds that the Citizens were proposing a six-year contract for the England star, bringing his potential earnings from the deal close to £80m.
Bellingham faces a tough assignment in breaking into the Madrid starting XI considering both Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are set to remain at the club next year, as well as the continual development of midfielders Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni. body check tags ::
