Premier League champions Manchester City have reportedly made a late move for Monaco striker Radamel Falcao.
The Colombian international has been strongly linked with a move away from the Ligue 1 outfit for the majority of the summer, with the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus credited with an interest in his services.
It was thought that Madrid were the favourites to sign the 28-year-old, but City are now ready to challenge their Spanish counterparts for the striker's signature, according to Sky Sport Italia.
The report added that City's interest in Falcao has grown as speculation intensifies regarding Alvaro Negredo's future at the Etihad Stadium.
