Manchester City will reportedly confirm the arrival of Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodri on Monday.
City have been strongly linked with a move for the Spain international over the last couple of months and it is understood that the Premier League champions have won the race ahead of Bayern Munich.
According to the Daily Mail, Pep Guardiola's side are closing in on a deal for the 22-year-old, who will cost the Citizens £62.5m, making him the most expensive player in the club's history.
Rodri returned to Atletico from Villarreal last summer and made 47 appearances for the capital giants during a strong 2018-19 campaign.
The midfielder is said to be seen as a long-term replacement for Fernandinho, who has starred for City over the six years but will be 35 by the end of the 2019-20 season.
The English champions, meanwhile, are also said to have stepped up their attempts to sign Joao Cancelo from Juventus.
