Champions Manchester City are reportedly prepared to hand a contract extension to Argentine striker Sergio Aguero.
The 24-year-old, who joined City in 2011 from Atletico Madrid, has long been linked with a switch to his former club's main rivals Real Madrid.
However, despite the fact that there are still three more years to run on his current deal, City are keen to offer the centre-forward new terms in a bid to warn off Real, according to Goal.com.
It has been claimed that his earnings of £170,000 a week will not increase dramatically, but the fresh terms will include a lucrative bonus scheme.
Aguero has scored 10 goals from 25 outings in the Premier League this season.
