Bayern Munich boss Niko Kovac has revealed that his club are in discussions with Manchester City over a summer move for German attacker Leroy Sane.
The 23-year-old will see his current deal at the Etihad Stadium expire in little over two years.
City boss Pep Guardiola recently revealed that there was a new contract on the table for the attacker, who had been left to decide whether he wanted to commit his future to the Premier League champions.
Bayern have been strongly linked with a swoop for the Germany international over the last few weeks, and Kovac has now said that the Bundesliga champions "are working hard" to sign him.
"We all know that Leroy Sane is our dream player. The public knows that, we know that. You can see that the transfer is not easy," Kovac has been quoted as saying by The Mirror.
"But I know that our people are working very hard to make it happen. We will do everything to realise this transfer."
Sane has scored 39 goals and registered 45 assists in 133 appearances for City since joining the English club from Schalke 04 in 2016.
