Manchester City are reportedly considering a move for Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets.
The 33-year-old has been with Barcelona since 2005, progressing through the youth system before making his first-team debut in 2008, and he has turned out for the Catalan giants on 638 occasions.
Busquets's current deal at Camp Nou is due to expire in June 2023, though, and he had to take a pay cut over the summer due to his team's financial problems.
According to El Nacional, the Spain international would only leave Barcelona for a club where he knows the head coach, and the midfielder enjoyed huge success under now Man City boss Pep Guardiola at Camp Nou.
The report claims that the Citizens are interested in signing the holding midfielder and could offer him a two-year deal, which would include an additional two years at the English club's sister outfit New York City FC.
Busquets, who is believed to be keen to end his career in the United States, has made nine appearances for Ronald Koeman's side during the 2021-22 campaign.
