Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has admitted that he does not yet know if James Milner will stay at the club beyond this summer.
Milner, whose contract expires in June, has been offered an extension but the 29-year-old is reportedly reluctant to sign after becoming frustrated with his wide role.
The England international, who joined as a centre-midfielder from Aston Villa in 2010, is said to have courted interest from Liverpool, but Pellegrini hopes to see him stay.
"The moment we finish the season we will know what he wants for his future," he told reporters. "He knows what the club thinks about him and we wait for his decision."
Milner has netted four times in 30 Premier League appearances this season.
