Manchester City have reportedly rubbished speculation that a £50m bid for Wolfsburg playmaker Kevin De Bruyne was lodged.
It was reported earlier today that the Sky Blues tabled a big-money offer for the Belgian, having previously failed to tempt the German side to sell with £47m.
However, the Premier League club's hierarchy are "baffled" by the rumours, insisting that the latest offer is news to them, according to The Mirror.
The report goes on to claim that Wolfsburg are holding out for at least £60m for the ex-Chelsea ace, who joined them on a permanent deal in January 2014.
Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also said to be keen on the 24-year-old, whose contract expires in 2019.
