Manchester City are reportedly still keen on signing Napoli midfielder Jorginho after holding fresh talks with the Serie A side.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed last weekend that the Citizens have already had a £44m bid rejected for the Italy international.
The Premier League champions are not giving up on their top summer transfer target, however, with the Daily Mail reporting that further discussions have been held in recent days.
City are said to be seeking a quick resolution as they have two other back-up options in mind, but they fear that they may be priced out of a move for the 26-year-old.
Jorginho featured in 37 of Napoli's matches in the 2017-18 season and has spent the past couple of weeks on international duty with Italy.
