Manchester City are interested in signing Cheick Tiote from Newcastle United in the summer, according to a report.
The Daily Mail claims that Citizens manager Manuel Pellegrini has been impressed with the 27-year-old's performance in the Premier League this season and is willing to submit an offer at the end of the campaign.
City are also monitoring Porto's Fernando and Victor Wanyama of Southampton, but Tiote is reportedly emerging as a preferred summer target.
The report adds that City are also interested in recruiting a goalkeeper, a centre-back and a striker.
