West Ham United are reportedly having second thoughts about signing Joleon Lescott from Manchester City this month.
According to The Mirror, the London club are reluctant to match the 31-year-old's weekly salary of £90,000 that they would have to pay if they want to recruit the defender on loan before next Friday's transfer deadline.
The Hammers were keen on the England international centre-back, but could now pull out of the running to sign him because of his high wages.
It has also been reported that Turkish giants Besiktas have made an offer for Lescott, but the former Everton defender wants to remain in the Premier League.
