Schalke 04 have reportedly won the race to sign Manchester City defender Matija Nastasic.
The Serbian has fallen out of favour at the Etihad Stadium under Manuel Pellegrini in the last two seasons, and Schalke head coach Roberto Di Matteo confirmed earlier this week that his club were interested in the centre-back.
When all of City's defenders are fit, Vincent Kompany usually partners either Martin Demichelis or Eliaquim Mangala, and Pellergini has turned to Dedryck Boyata before using Nastasic.
According to The Guardian, Schalke will beat AC Milan to the signing of the 21-year-old, and they are likely to pay £10m for his services.
Nastasic joined City from Fiorentina on a five-year deal in the summer of 2012.
