Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos is reportedly set to head for the exit door following a row with club chiefs over their interest in Kylian Mbappe.
The 35-year-old has spent the last 16 years under contract with the Bernabeu giants, but his existing deal expires in a few weeks' time, and no agreement has been reached over an extension.
Los Blancos are still reeling from the financial effects of the coronavirus pandemic and also have €550m in Bernabeu renovation costs hanging over their heads, but the Spanish giants are still thought to be planning a move for Paris Saint-Germain's Mbappe.
According to AS, Ramos was left angered by plans for a 10% pay cut in order to fund a move for Mbappe, and he advised his teammates not to agree to the proposals for that reason.
As a result, the 100-goal centre-back is supposedly 'certain' to end his glittering stint with Real Madrid this summer, even with returning manager Carlo Ancelotti keen to keep him on the books.
Manchester City are said to be weighing up a two-year deal for Ramos, who has controversially been left out of Spain's Euro 2020 squad. body check tags ::
