Southampton are reportedly on the verge of completing a deal for Manchester City goalkeeper Angus Gunn.
Gunn is currently behind Ederson and Claudio Bravo in the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium and spent last season on loan at Norwich City.
The 22-year-old is expected to leave the Premier League champions this summer, and BBC Sport reports that Southampton have emerged as favourites for his signature.
The Saints are in the market for a new goalkeeper after switching their number one between Fraser Forster and Alex McCarthy last season.
Southampton are also understood to be close to completing a deal for Denmark centre-back Jannik Vestergaard after agreeing an £18m fee for the defender.
Mark Hughes has made just two summer signings so far, bringing in Stuart Armstrong from Celtic for £7m and Mohamed Elyounoussi from Basel for around £16m.
