Manchester City are willing to use Oleksandr Zinchenko as a makeweight to bring in Jorginho from Napoli, according to a report.
Italy international Jorginho favours a move to the Etihad Stadium over neighbours Manchester United and is said to be available for £53m.
That asking price is too steep for the Citizens, however, with The Sun reporting that a player exchange is now in the offing to help push through a move.
Zinchenko, who is a long-term target of Napoli's, will be offered as part of the transfer either on a permanent deal or on loan, depending on how much the Premier League champions are willing to pay up front.
City are rumoured to have rejected an approach from the Italian side last year for Zinchenko, which proved a good call as the 21-year-old was used 14 times this season.
