Club Brugge manager Michel Preud'homme has admitted that he does not know how he can beat Manchester United in the Champions League playoff second leg, given his side's injuries and suspensions.
Club captain Timmy Simons limped off in the 40th minute of the first leg at Old Trafford as Memphis Depay and Marouane Fellaini helped the Red Devils overturn a 1-0 deficit to win 3-1.
Things got even worse for the Belgian giants as defender Brandon Mechele saw red for a second bookable offence in the latter stages of the match.
Preud'Homme told BT Sport after the game: "You have a small chance at home but it is going to be very difficult. I know Fellaini, of course, and he is very strong in that situation.
"We tried to play with our qualities, we missed a lot of players. The red card was very far for me, it is difficult to see.
"If we have to miss our captain and central defender, with all our injured players, I don't see the solution to beat Manchester United."
The second leg of the tie will be played on Wednesday, August 26 at the Jan Breydel Stadium.
