Manchester United winger Andreas Pereira has revealed that he was "very happy" to make his Champions League debut against Wolfsburg last night.
The 19-year-old, who made his first start for the Red Devils against Ipswich Town in the League Cup last week, came off the bench to replace Memphis Depay for the last half-hour against the Bundesliga outfit at Old Trafford.
"I'm very happy that I can have my chance now and I'm very pleased that the manager has given me this opportunity. I hope I can do well, as I am doing, and continue my form," he told the club's official website.
"I think it's very important for me also to play in a competition like this. I played my first 30 minutes in the Champions League and hopefully I can play more and more games now."
United won the game 2-1 thanks to goals either side of the break from Juan Mata and Chris Smalling.
