Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric believes that he and his teammates deserved to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League following their win over Manchester United.
The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder netted the crucial equaliser in the game at Old Trafford while Cristiano Ronaldo scored the winner to seal Jose Mourinho's place in the last eight of the competition.
Modric told BeIN Sport: "I'm happy with my goal but I'm even happier because we qualified. It was a tough game, but we showed great resolve to come back after we were chasing the match.
"I think that if you consider both games, we deserve to go through. To be really honest, I did not see Nani's red card, but if the referee said so, we can't oppose him."
Mourinho's side join Borussia Dortmund as the teams to qualify for the quarter-finals of the competition so far.
