Manchester United manager David Moyes has expressed embarrassment at how his team played in this evening's 2-0 first-leg defeat against Olympiacos in the Champions League.
The Red Devils were left with a mountain to climb after goals by Alejandro Dominguez and Joel Campbell gave the Greek side a significant advantage ahead of the tie's second leg.
Moyes held his hands up after the game, admitting that his side deserved to leave the Karaiskakis Stadium empty handed.
"That's the worst we've played in Europe, we didn't deserve to get anything," the former Everton manager told BBC Sport. "I'm surprised, I didn't see that level of performance coming. I take responsibility, we have to play better.
"The players are hurting."
The 2008 Champions League winners must now win by three goals against Michel's side on March 19 to make it through to the quarter-finals of the competition.
