Manchester United attacker Paul Pogba could reportedly line up in a forward area against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The Red Devils will head to Wanda Metropolitano for the first leg of their last-16 tie looking to claim an advantage ahead of the return fixture at Old Trafford next month.
Pogba has impressed for Man United since returning from a thigh problem, and interim head coach Ralf Rangnick has said that he views the Frenchman as a central midfielder despite the fact that he played in an advanced position under previous boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
However, according to the Manchester Evening News, the World Cup winner could feature alongside Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo in a front three against Diego Simeone's side.
Pogba - out of contract this summer - has scored once and provided eight assists in 18 appearances for the 20-time English champions during the 2021-22 campaign.
The 28-year-old played 67 minutes of Sunday's Premier League clash with Leeds United, while he has featured on four occasions in the Champions League this term.
