Ander Herrera has reportedly been given the nod by manager Louis van Gaal to start Manchester United's Champions League qualifier away at Club Brugge this evening.
The Spanish midfielder, who arrived at Old Trafford from Athletic Bilbao in June 2014, scored eight goals from his 22 starts last season.
However, following the recent additions of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin, Herrera has fallen down the pecking order this term and has had to settle for just two appearances as a substitute.
According to the Manchester Evening News, with United having taken a 3-1 lead to Belgium from last week's first leg, Van Gaal has decided to give the 26-year-old the opportunity to feature from the beginning of the clash.
The report adds that Marouane Fellaini could also be in line to start, potentially at the expense of Adnan Januzaj.
