Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has slammed his side's "average" performance in tonight's 0-0 Champions League draw at home to PSV Eindhoven.
The Red Devils missed the chance to book their place in the last 16 following a stalemate at Old Trafford which leaves their second-round hopes hanging in the balance.
"In the first half I can say it was average but in the second half, despite my changes, it did not improve," he is quoted as saying by The Telegraph.
"Nevertheless we gave only one chance away so now you know it is zero-zero, but it is disappoint because we have to win Wolfsburg which is a difficult game.
"We are still second and in a qualifying position and we have to do it in Wolfsburg. That is more difficult. It would have been easier to do it tonight."
Defeat for United in their trip to Group B leaders Wolfsburg on the final matchday would see Van Gaal's side exit the competition if PSV beat CSKA Moscow.
