Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has been named the Premier League Manager of the Season in the annual Sports Mole Readers' Awards.

Guardiola led City to a third successive title, and a fifth crown in the last six years, eventually finishing five points clear of closest challengers Arsenal at the top of the table.

The Spaniard added an FA Cup winners' medal to his collection with victory over Manchester United on Saturday too, and could still wrap up a historic treble if his side beat Inter Milan in the Champions League final on June 10.

Guardiola's two closest challengers in the voting were the two managers he pipped to silverware too, although the Man City boss was the clear winner with 39.4% of the votes.

Mikel Arteta - a former assistant of Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium - earned 17.7% of the votes having unexpectedly turned Arsenal into title contenders, with the Gunners spending 248 days at the top of the table before being caught by Man City in the final weeks.

Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag took 14.5% of the votes as a result of him steering Manchester United back into the Champions League places, as well as winning the EFL Cup and reaching the FA Cup final during his first season at the helm.

Indeed, the top four in the final Premier League table is also the top four in the managers' voting in our end-of-season awards, with Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe winning 12.2% of the votes.

Brighton & Hove Albion's Roberto De Zerbi completes the top five, having led the Seagulls into Europe for the first time in their history.
