Alejandro Garnacho will make his full debut for Manchester United in Thursday's Europa League contest with Sheriff Tiraspol at Old Trafford.
The 18-year-old made two appearances for the Red Devils last season, debuting against Chelsea in April, and he stayed at the club over the summer despite a host of loan interest.
Garnacho has featured on three occasions for the first team this season, with his only Premier League appearance coming against Brighton & Hove Albion on the opening weekend of the campaign.
The teenager also played in his side's opening two Europa League matches against Real Sociedad and Sheriff.
However, Garnacho will now make his full debut, with the attacker selected in the starting XI for the first time since making the move to Man United from Atletico Madrid in October 2020.
The South American starred at Under-18 and Under-23 level during the 2021-22 campaign, including four goals and one assist in Premier League 2, while he scored two late goals against Nottingham Forest as the Red Devils won the FA Youth Cup.
Garnacho is expected to play off the left of a front three, with Cristiano Ronaldo through the middle and Antony operating off the right.
"Yes [impressive in training], that's why he gets the opportunity, he deserves it," Ten Hag told MUTV ahead of kickoff. "Like runs behind, like dribbles, like finishing and I'm really wondering, and I hope, he can do that tonight.
"We have a front three, with Cristiano and Antony, who all have opportunities, who have skills, who run behind, to create, to have dribbles and to have combinations in tight areas, which is what we expect from them, to create opportunities and goals.
"This pitch is not for learning. They have to deliver and be aware of that. This is not a learning moment, he [Garnacho] has the capabilities to show it. We have six games coming up in two weeks and we need them all [players]."
Man United are currently second in Group E, three points behind leaders Real Sociedad, who are also in action this evening away to Omonia. body check tags ::
