Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has conceded that he is "hurting" following the club's recent run of form.
The Red Devils were defeated 2-1 by Danish minnows FC Midtjylland in the Europa League tonight, which means that Louis van Gaal's men have won just eight of their last 25 games in all competitions.
Asked by a fan on Twitter for his take on the situation, Ferdinand refused to comment other than to reveal that he felt dismayed.
Ferdinand made 455 appearances in all competitions during a 12-year spell as a United player.
