Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final with Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.

Manchester United will be looking to bounce back from their first domestic defeat under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup at Molineux on Saturday evening.

After the high of their miraculous comeback against Paris Saint-Germain last week, United were brought back down to earth with a bump as they fell to a 2-0 defeat at Arsenal on Sunday.

The result leaves them playing catch-up in the top-four race once again, but for now their focus must switch to the FA Cup - a competition which provides their most realistic chance of silverware this season.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's contest.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S INJURY LIST

Romelu Lukaku

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: March 16

Romelu Lukaku suffered a foot injury earlier this week and is a major doubt for Saturday's match as a result, with Solskjaer likely to hold him back until after the international break.

Alexis Sanchez

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: April 21

Solskjaer revealed on March 15 that Sanchez is still "a few weeks away" from returning and earmarked games against Everton, Manchester City and Chelsea as possible return dates.

Matteo Darmian

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Unknown
Possible return date: March 16

Darmian has not featured since a brief substitute appearance on January 19, but he is now back in training and could be in contention for Saturday's match.

Phil Jones

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: March 16

Jones has now missed United's last four games due to an illness, but he could recover in time for Saturday's game.

Antonio Valencia

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: March 16

The Wolves game was earmarked as a possible return date for the United skipper, who has been sidelined since the beginning of January with first a knee problem and more recently a calf injury.

Ander Herrera

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: March 16

There were suggestions that Herrera might return against Arsenal at the weekend, but that game ultimately came too soon for him and he could instead return at Molineux.

Juan Mata

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: March 16

One of three players to be forced off in the first half against Liverpool last month, Mata has an outside chance of returning from his hamstring injury this weekend but is more likely to be held back.

Jesse Lingard

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: March 16

Lingard was rushed back for the Liverpool game only to last 21 minutes on the field, but he too has a slight chance of featuring this weekend.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

United have no players suspended for this match.
