Ashley Young has hailed Manchester United's never-say-die attitude after coming from behind to beat Preston North End 3-1 in Monday's FA Cup clash at Deepdale.
Scott Laird had fired the League One side into a shock 1-0 lead on 48 minutes, but goals from Ander Herrera, Marouane Fellaini and a Wayne Rooney penalty saw the Red Devils progress.
"We showed that fighting spirit that we've always had throughout the years," he told MUTV. "We went a goal down, but got ourselves back into the game.
"It was disappointing [to go behind] with all the possession we'd had.
"We had to fight back, we said before the game that we wanted to get through to the quarter-final and we've done that so we're delighted."
Louis van Gaal's side will face Arsenal at Old Trafford in the quarter-finals.
