Manchester United defender Phil Jones has admitted that he and his teammates are desperate to win the FA Cup this season.
The Red Devils are not competing in a European competition this term, are nine points adrift in the race for the Premier League title, and have also been knocked out of the Capital One Cup courtesy of a second-round thumping by MK Dons.
Jones has revealed that there is a huge desire within the squad to end United's 11-year drought in the competition, with their last success coming in the 2003-4 season against Millwall in the final.
"It's going to be a big competition for us this season," he told reporters. "We are not in the Champions League so there is even more of an expectation to go and put a performance on at Yeovil.
"With not being in Europe, the FA Cup is a trophy we definitely want to win especially as this club hasn't won it for a long time."
Louis van Gaal's men face Yeovil Town in their third-round clash at Huish Park on Sunday afternoon.
