With United effectively left to fight for second spot in the Premier League, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is placing extra focus on adding another European trophy to the club's collection.

Rashford sustained an ankle injury during Sunday's derby showdown, an issue which led to his withdrawal. While Solskjaer has not completely ruled the forward out of contention, it is highly unlikely that he will feature on Thursday.

Despite having returned to action against Crystal Palace last week, Cavani sustained a recurrence to a muscle problem in training. Like with Rashford, Solskjaer may opt against taking any risks on the Uruguayan this week.

While Pogba was never in contention for a return against Man City, the Frenchman has now taken part in training after a thigh problem. The midfielder may be considered for a place on the substitutes' bench on Thursday.

De Gea travelled to Spain for the birth of his first child last week, resulting in him missing the fixtures against Palace and Man City. The goalkeeper will not come back into contention until the weekend at the earliest.

Van de Beek has been nursing a minor injury, resulting in the Dutchman not featuring in the squad on Sunday. However, Solskjaer has previously hinted that the playmaker is closing in on a return to action having taken part in training.
