Manchester United will be looking to progress through to the Europa League last 16 when they play host to Barcelona in the second leg of their playoff tie on Thursday night.

The first fixture lived up to its billing, United coming from behind to lead at Camp Nou before Barcelona netted a late equaliser to leave the clubs locked at 2-2 on aggregate.

Erik ten Hag's team head into this contest having overcome a slow start versus Leicester City on Sunday to ultimately prevail by a 3-0 scoreline at Old Trafford.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the return clash with the Catalan giants.

Antony

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: February 23 (vs. Barcelona)

Antony has missed the last four games with a minor injury. However, Ten Hag has suggested that the summer signing is on the brink of being able to return to full training.

Anthony Martial

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: February 23 (vs. Barcelona)

Anthony Martial continues to nurse a hip problem, which he picked up immediately after returning from a different injury at the start of February. Even if he has recovered in time for Thursday's match, the Frenchman may not be risked for a game of this magnitude.

Christian Eriksen

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: April 29 (vs. Aston Villa)

Christian Eriksen will miss most of the rest of the season after picking up a serious ankle injury against Reading in the FA Cup back in January.

Donny van de Beek

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Donny van de Beek will not feature for Man United for the rest of the season after suffering a serious knee injury over the Christmas and New Year period.

Harry Maguire

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: February 23 (vs. Barcelona)

Harry Maguire was forced to sit out the win over his former club at the weekend with a knee issue. However, Ten Hag has described it as a minor problem, hinting that the club captain may return to the squad for this fixture.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

With Lisandro Martinez and Marcel Sabitzer having served their respective one-match bans, United have no players suspended for this encounter.
